Suzanne Toren is a New York based actor and educator specializing in the Feldenkrais method. Suzanne graduated from CCNY in 1967 with a B.A in French Language and Literature, and in 1968 earned her M.A in French from the University of Wisconsin. Upon graduating Toren trained at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Rochester for acting, finishing her studies in 1971.

 

Suzanne's teaching experience began in 1969 when she taught undergraduate French Language and Literature at Oakland University. Continuing her love of teaching Suzanne taught the Feldenkrais Method at New Actors’ Workshop from 1991un until 2010 when the school unfortunately closed.

 

Toren also served as Faculty at the Feldenkrais Learning Center in New York until 2020. Currently Toren is sharing her knowledge of the Feldenkrais method via weekly Zoom classes which are designed to be accessible and open to the general public. Toren’s classes are up and running and welcoming new students!
